What You'll Do

• Manage daily field operations for roadway, underground utility (water, sewer, storm drainage), grading, and paving projects
• Oversee subdivision infrastructure including earthwork, base, curb, and asphalt
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspectors, and material deliveries
• Ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules and budgets
• Manage commercial site development including CMU, tilt-wall, and steel structures
• Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance on all job sites

Requirements

• 5–10+ years as a superintendent on civil site or commercial construction projects
• Experience with roadway, underground utilities, grading, and paving
• Knowledge of CMU, tilt-wall, and/or steel construction is a plus

• OSHA 30 preferred

• $90,000 – $120,000 base salary depending on experience

A nationally recognized heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Engineer and a Project Manager for active highway, road, and bridge construction projects in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

What You'll Do

• Manage or support highway, roadway, and bridge construction projects for NCDOT and other DOT clients
• Oversee project engineering including submittals, RFIs, quantity tracking, and schedule management

About the Role
