About the Role
A large heavy civil highway and bridge contractor is hiring a Project Superintendent to run bridge work on FDOT projects in St. Petersburg. You run the job in the field: foremen, subcontractors, production and safety, working with the engineers, inspectors and the owner to build it right, on schedule and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Manage and schedule foremen and subcontractors
- Set performance and production goals and hold the crews to them
- Build to the contract specifications and drawings, safely and in environmental compliance
- Run the work to schedule and budget, and recommend corrective action when it drifts
- Work with estimators and engineers on quantities and production
- Coordinate with management, engineers, FDOT inspectors and suppliers
- Coach, train and develop foremen and field employees
- Build strong relationships with the owner, consultants and the public
What You'll Need
- 5 to 7 years of bridge experience in heavy highway and bridge construction
- Knowledge of FDOT contracts, specifications and reports
- OSHA competent person certification
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Clean driving record
- Cast in place, segmental or post tensioned bridge work and OSHA 30 are a plus
