🏗️ Deputy Project Manager, Heavy Civil

About the Role

A large heavy civil highway and bridge contractor is hiring a Deputy Project Manager for a Turnpike program in Polk County. You are number two on the project management side: planning and scheduling the work, running the subcontractors and contract administration, and reporting to the owner.

What You'll Do

• Plan and schedule the work
• Select and manage subcontractors
• Run contract administration and permits
• Oversee assistant project managers and project engineers
• Track schedule and cost and report to the owner
• Back up the Project Manager across the program

What You'll Need

• Four year degree in Construction Management or Construction Science; engineers also considered
• 5+ years assisting or running construction projects of increasing size
• Heavy civil highway or bridge background
• FDOT or Turnpike work preferred, not required
