About the Role

A large heavy civil highway and bridge contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Superintendent for an FDOT design build highway project in Hernando County. You back up the Project Superintendent and run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day. A strong general foreman with the years and the FDOT background who is ready to step up is a fit here too.

What You'll Do

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day
• Keep daily reports and field logs
• Handle quality control in the field
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors
• Step in for the Project Superintendent when needed
• Keep safety first on every shift

What You'll Need

• 5 to 7 years in heavy civil highway construction
• Familiar with FDOT contracts, specifications and reporting
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Valid license and clean driving record, able to travel between sites
