About the Role
A large heavy civil highway and bridge contractor is hiring Field Engineers in the Orlando metro. You will be on the job every day, working alongside superintendents and learning how major highway and bridge work gets built. This is a great fit for engineers early in their career, or at mid level, who want real field time and a path forward.
What You'll Do
- Support field layout and check lines, grades, and elevations with the survey crew
- Track quantities and installed work for pay estimates
- Prepare and route RFIs and submittals
- Write daily reports and keep field documentation current
- Work alongside superintendents and foremen on planning, sequencing, and production
- Help with QC checks, inspections, and punch lists
- Support a safe jobsite every day
What You'll Need
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Entry to mid level: recent grads and engineers with a few years in the field are both welcome
- Heavy civil, highway, or bridge exposure a plus (internships count)
- Comfortable outdoors and on active jobsites
- Organized, good with numbers, and a clear communicator
- Orlando metro based or willing to relocate
