About the Role
A large heavy civil highway and bridge contractor is hiring a Deputy Project Manager for FDOT work in the Naples area. You work side by side with the Project Manager and carry real weight on cost, schedule, subcontractors, and owner coordination. This seat is built as the next step to Project Manager, on projects with the size and resources to grow your career.
What You'll Do
- Support the Project Manager on day to day management of FDOT highway and bridge work
- Track cost, quantities, and forecasts against budget
- Build and update the project schedule with the field team
- Manage subcontract agreements, subcontractor coordination, and change orders
- Coordinate with FDOT, CEI, designers, and utility owners
- Handle RFIs, submittals, pay estimates, and monthly reporting
- Step in for the Project Manager when needed
What You'll Need
- Heavy civil highway or bridge experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager ready for the next step
- FDOT project experience strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of cost control, scheduling, and subcontract management
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Able to work onsite in Naples every day
