⛏️ Geotechnical Superintendent (Drilled Shafts and Foundations)

About the Role

A large heavy civil contractor is hiring a Geotechnical Superintendent to run self perform geotechnical work: drilled shafts, piles, tiebacks and ground improvement. You run the crews and the equipment, keep the schedule and the labor cost where they belong, and work with project management on means and methods. Based in Tampa or Atlanta, with travel.

What You'll Do

• Run geotechnical crews and self perform work safely and to schedule
• Control labor cost, equipment use and maintenance, and suppliers
• Plan means and methods for geotechnical work with project management
• Keep schedules and budgets current and flag cost and schedule concerns early
• Take part in job start and job close meetings
• Enforce company policies with field personnel and subcontractors

What You'll Need

• 10+ years in soldier piles, tiebacks, micropiles, drilled shafts, CFA auger cast piles, wick drains, or soil and rock nails
• Thorough knowledge of drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps
• Strong communication and working relationships
• Willing to travel
