🌙 Roadway / Utility Superintendent, Night Work (NCDOT)

About the Role

An established self perform heavy civil contractor with work across North Carolina and Virginia is hiring a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for heavy night work in the Winston-Salem area. You run night shift roadway and underground utility crews on highway, roadway and utility projects, much of it NCDOT. Triad locals are great, and candidates ready to relocate are welcome.

What You'll Do

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen
• Schedule subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries
• Plan the work and hold the schedule shift to shift
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance
• Manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved night windows
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers
• Coordinate handoffs with the Project Manager and the day side of the job

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level
• Proven night work on DOT roadway or utility projects
• Ready for a heavy night schedule
• Working knowledge of grading, storm drainage, water and sewer, and paving sequencing
• Solid work zone traffic control knowledge
• Valid driver's license
• NCDOT experience, OSHA 30 and HCSS HeavyJob are a plus
