🛣️ Senior Project Manager – NCDOT Roadway / Utility

An established heavy civil general contractor in the Charlotte / Cornelius, NC market is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead two concurrent NCDOT-funded roadway and utility projects — four roundabouts total across the portfolio. High-visibility, technically demanding work. The client wants a strong leader who can run multi-project simultaneous management end-to-end.

What You'll Do

• Full PM ownership of schedule, budget, subcontractors, and NCDOT coordination across both projects
• Lead MOT phasing and traffic control planning across roundabout-heavy scopes
• Coordinate active utility crossings — water, sewer, storm, dry utilities
• Run owner / engineer / NCDOT meetings and public-facing communication
• Direct superintendents, foremen, and operators on site across both jobs
• Hold subs accountable and keep crews productive in a tight labor market

Requirements

• 10+ years of senior PM experience on NCDOT roadway / utility projects
• Track record on $10–30M project values with multi-project oversight
• Demonstrated success with roundabouts and MOT phasing
• Active utility coordination experience (water, sewer, storm, dry utilities)
• NC-based or NC-relocatable — Charlotte / Lake Norman commuting radius
• PE strongly preferred; PMP or DBIA welcomed

Compensation

• $160,000 – $170,000 base salary, depending on experience
