🛣️ Project Engineer / Project Manager – Heavy Civil

A nationally recognized heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Engineer and a Project Manager for active highway, road, and bridge construction projects in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

What You'll Do

• Manage or support highway, roadway, and bridge construction projects for NCDOT and other DOT clients
• Oversee project engineering including submittals, RFIs, quantity tracking, and schedule management
• Coordinate with field superintendents, subcontractors, and DOT inspectors
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, and change orders
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance across all operations

Requirements

• 3–10+ years of heavy civil construction experience (highway, road, bridge)
• BS in Civil Engineering preferred
• DOT project experience (NCDOT preferred)
• Proficiency with HCSS, Primavera P6, and/or Procore
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work in the Waynesville, NC area (relocation assistance available)

Compensation

• $85,000 – $130,000 base salary depending on role and experience
• 6% 401(k) match
